Purchasing new windows and hiring people to replace the old one could be really expensive. In some instances, it could lead to disaster that would cost you so much money. Therefore you need a good team to replace your windows. Other than that, you should be well aware of their service. It really helps when you have friends that can recommend a good company that can replace windows with quality.

That is a great point Dan. Not one that applies in my neck of the woods, but certainly in those areas of the country that put the hvac systems in the attic commonly.

In addition to insulating your attic, a thorough inspection of the air conditioning systems ductwork should be completed. Thirty percent of homes that are inspected are loosing conditioned air because of leaks. <a href="http://www.firstclassairsvc.com/Insulation_Dallas.html">

Bill, unfortunately there is enforcement taking place, and yes, the fines are very real. Window world was just hit with tens of thousands of dollars worth of fines for non-compliance. Sure, it is less likely that a small business would be hit, however, it is certainly possible. It only takes one complaint to throw up red flags... Secondly, certification is only a couple hundred dollars (not thousands), and that includes certification for you as an individual and for your firm. It IS the law, and strongly advise that consumers only do business with certified firms.

Most of the contractors I talk to around the Luzerne County area of Pennsylvania say that the city and the state officials don’t enforce the RRP rules so who cares what the EPA wants. They tell me they’re not going to shell out thousands of dollars to get certified just to be compliant with this nonsense. Most agree that it’s just a waste of time and hard earned money with todays economy the way it is for both them and the home owner. I have even been told by one contractor that even a local city inspector told him it’s a waste money! So my question to you is; should I even be worried about getting certified if the local and state officials don’t even enforce the RRP rule? And, can the EPA really fine a small business that much money?
